Our Mission
VTEDC exists to provide accessible, weight-inclusive, and ethically grounded eating disorder care through collaborative, multidisciplinary practice. We are committed to supporting recovery, body trust, and overall well-being in ways that honor each person’s lived experience, autonomy, and access to care. Our work is rooted in health equity, harm reduction, and respect for the diverse realities of the individuals and communities we serve.
About Our Founder
Michaela Wilson, MS, RD, CD (she/her) is a dietitian based in Winooski, Vermont who provides weight-inclusive, anti-diet nutrition care for individuals with eating disorders. She earned her undergraduate degree from Montana State University and completed her graduate training at the University of Vermont, where she further developed her commitment to Health at Every Size® (HAES®) and harm-reduction approaches to care.
Michaela works from a patient-centered perspective and focuses on sustainable behavior change rather than weight loss, supporting the complex and individualized nature of recovery. She works with individuals in remission from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, OSFED, and ARFID, including those transitioning from higher levels of care.
Her experience spans clinical and outpatient settings, shaping her understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence eating disorders across the continuum of care. She has supported individuals with feeding tubes and those transitioning from higher levels of care. Michaela also serves on the Pediatric Health Equity Rounds Steering Committee at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
She works with individuals ages 10 and up and is working on paneling with Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont, United, Aetna with both private pay and sliding scale fares available.
